    A Little Back Story…

Allure New Media is the brainchild of Brody Dorland and Jayme Thomason, two content producers cut from the same mold. Both attended K-State University and graduated a year apart with degrees in Public Relations. Their paths actually never crossed until a decade later when both served on the board of directors for the Freelance Exchange of Kansas City in 2009.

Brody and Jayme immediately began collaborating on projects, which lead to discussions of developing a seminar series, which turned into a new media marketing book. In early 2010, it became obvious that the combined talents, creativity, experience, capabilities and personalities of these two would lead to big things. Long story short, on June 1st, 2010…Allure New Media was born.

    The Principles

Meet Brody – Linkedin Facebook Vimeo Twitter StumbleUpon

Normally the words “social butterfly” and “computer geek” wouldn’t be used in the same sentence, but that’s Brody.

After building his first website as part of a college project in 1998,  Brody knew this “internet thing” would be part of his future. Programming and digital photography classes would follow alongside his PR degree, cheerleading, bar tending and fraternity participation. After college, Brody dove into the trenches of corporate marketing (manufacturing) and then earned his ad-agency chops with ER Marketing, a boutique marketing firm in Kansas City. In 2005, Brody started his own virtual interactive agency, Something Creative, Inc., specializing in website design, search engine optimization and social media marketing.

Over the years, Brody’s unique ability to demystify the technologies and best practices of online marketing has propelled him onto the national stage with the National Speakers Association and National Seminars Group. He also appears regularly on NBC Action News, KC Small Business Magazine and Hot Talk 1510 AM.

Today, Brody is an award-winning marketer, an avid networker, a husband and father of two, a music lover, a dancer, and still a cheerleader…for every client he works with.

Meet Jayme – Linkedin Facebook Twitter

We’re really glad Jayme grew up on a dairy farm in the middle of Kansas. Her work ethic, her lust for learning and her knack for finding something creative in everything keeps the Allure New Media ship headed in the right direction.

While finishing up her Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from Kansas State University, Jayme threw herself into the project-management fire with an internship for the Kansas Democratic Party, and was later hired as their Associate Director. Organization and hitting deadlines is kind of a big deal when you’re trying to manage Kathleen Sebelius’ Governer’s race.

From there, Jayme jumped into the agency world with project management and content development roles at Fleishman Hillard, Nicholson Kovac and Two West. During those years, an itch to freelance gradually grew, and in 2007, she decided to scratch. Jayme opened the doors to Thomason Freelance in 2008 and then rebranded in 2009 as Write Click SEO, as her clients’ needs for SEO and web content development grew. In late 2009, Jayme scored numerous awards for her creativity, including the Best In Show at the 2009 Kansas City Freelance Exchange I.C.E. Awards.

Jayme is the wife of a musician/green energy consultant, a mother of two, a big fan of USA Network’s TV programming and the best darn copywriter to ever come out of Pratt, Kansas…and probably lots of other towns too.
